Dr. McLaughlin is like many doctors in the field these days. He probably has too many patient's per day and gets overwhelmed. Waiting longer than 30Minutes seems to be the new normal in the medical field. I'm not a fan of this as most patients would fall into this category. I could say more but bottom line is their needs to be reform and how that happens I don't have answers without spending time to view what goes on throughout an average day in the industry.

I am overweight and I am happy that the care providers that I have seen here do not treat my weight as the sole cause of any health conditions I have. They have mentioned losing weight would help, which I am working on, but never made me feel like that was the only thing that would fix everything; I had options and even with weight lose being a major factor in one of my health conditions, I was treated with respect and never felt shamed. It also helped that they explained why weight loss would help, instead of just telling me to lose weight and leaving it at that.

Dr M is good, friendly and patient. This was a routine checkup, I think it could have been a bit more in detail but he covered the essentials. He answered questions happily and well. It seemed like it was mostly read the blood work, check BP, discuss prescriptions and schedule a screening. Not as thorough of a 'exam' as I expected but I trust his experience such that hes focusing on just the stuff that matters. I am comfortable with him as my PCP.
