I came in to have a urinalysis for a possible UTI. Dr. Gawthrop had the test done and as it showed an infection, ordered it to be more thoroughly tested, meanwhile she prescribed an antibiotic. When the microscopic test came through, she sent a message about it and explained what it said. Since patients get test results through mychart before the provider can see them, when something comes back as abnormal, it can be scary, so having the provider contact the patient as soon as they see the results, is very helpful.
