About Anna G. G. Spann
With over 18 years of experience, I’m a Certified Nurse-Midwife passionate about supporting women through every stage of life — from first periods to postpartum to perimenopause and beyond. A proud graduate of OHSU, I practice full-scope midwifery and gynecologic care within a large hospital system, blending evidence-based medicine with compassionate support. As a self-declared “midlife midwife,” I’m especially passionate about helping women navigate the transitions of perimenopause and menopause with clarity, confidence, and maybe even a laugh or two. Outside of clinic, I’m usually baking something, working in the garden, exploring new places, or trying to tire out my two small dogs (while negotiating with a very whiny cat). I also have two teenage daughters who keep me grounded and inspired.

She was incredible understanding, kind, and gentle. I was very comfortable in her care for my IUD checkup, even though this is an uncomfortable experiences. She was very calm, friendly, and comforting when talking me through my concerns about my IUD possibly being out of place and answered all of my questions as well as possible. This was another great experience at Providence, and trust everyone at the Women's Clinic and appreciate all of their kindness and gentle understanding when dealing with the IUD insertion, experience, and all of my questions. They have all been thorough in telling me what where I will feel pressure or discomfort and have been very professional and approachable.
