Zar C. Chan, MD

Dr. Chan, a nephrologist at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, excels in community medical diagnostics and patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings, including hemodialysis centers. With expertise in renal disease evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, she has managed hundreds of dialysis patients and performed numerous invasive procedures. Dr. Chan completed her M.B.,B.S at the University of Medicine 1, Myanmar, followed by medical internships and residencies at Yangon General Hospital and North Shore LIJ Forest Hills Hospital. Actively involved in the Renal Transplant Program, Dr. Chan oversees pre- and post-transplant care for ESRD patients. Fluent in English and Burmese, with basic knowledge of Chinese and Spanish, she is committed to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive care.
