About Darrel J. Bell
Dr. Bell is a board-certified fellow in obstetrics and gynecology in Olympia, Washington. He developed an interest in healthcare as a high school student, and this grew into a passion as he graduated from the University of Washington majoring in Chemical Engineering. Dr. Bell attended Creighton University School of Medicine where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. His residency was completed at the University of Tennessee in Memphis where he gained a wealth of experience and a love for good BBQ. Olympia became his home straight out of residency, where he has been privileged to serve the women in the greater Thurston County area. He has walked with patients through the joy of families growing, the deep grief of loss, and the frustrating struggle with disease and Dr. Bell prioritizes pain management for office-based procedures. He was the pioneer of robotic surgery in Providence St. Peter Hospital and has been a teacher to many family medicine residents as well as medical students from the University of Washington. Throughout his journey, his faith in Christ has motivated him to care for each person in front of him as his own family.

When not in the clinic, Darrel spends his free time his family; watching basketball and soccer or in the climbing gym. He is an avid runner and you will most likely see him running around town on a weekend or an early morning. He feels privileged to live in such a beautiful part of the country and loves hiking and exploring the outdoors.
