About Emma E. Downing

Emma Downing is a Certified Nurse-Midwife who brings a patient-centered approach to caring for women through all stages of life. Originally from far west Texas, she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Knox College before discovering her passion for midwifery and pursuing both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice at Oregon Health & Science University. Outside of supporting women through pregnancy, Emma's clinical interests include perimenopause and menopause care, exploring the relationship between mental health and the menstrual cycle, and lifestyle medicine. She loves empowering her patients with knowledge of their physiology and building trust through deep listening. Outside of her practice, she enjoys yoga, tending to her many houseplants, and exploring the outdoors with her family.
