About Derrick A. Foge
Dr. Derrick Foge is a distinguished spine surgeon and Special Forces veteran, recognized for his academic and military achievements. After earning his undergraduate degree, he joined the U.S. Army, where he became a Green Beret and served as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant, participating in multiple deployments and life-saving surgical procedures.
Inspired by his experiences, Dr. Foge pursued a career in orthopedics, earning his medical degree from the University of Colorado, followed by an Internship and Residency in Orthopedics. He completed his Spine Surgery Fellowship at the University of Washington/Harborview Medical Center.
Since joining the OPA spine surgery team in 2020, Dr. Foge has dedicated himself to treating a wide range of spinal conditions, helping patients regain mobility and enjoy active lifestyles. Outside of work, he enjoys fly fishing, bowhunting, weightlifting, running, and spending quality time with his wife and daughters.
