About Nirav J. Shah

Dr. Shah was born in Northeast Ohio, but has spent the majority of his life in Southern California. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biomechanical Engineering at Columbia University in New York City. He then returned to LA for medical school at USC, before completing residency in Albany, NY and a joint replacement fellowship in Virginia. Dr. Shah joined COS in 2014, specializing in total joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee, using the most advanced technology and implants. Minimally invasive techniques are utilized to spare muscles and other tissues from trauma on all primary and revision surgeries. Much effort is made to advance the use of outpatient joint surgery in the Valley. Dr. Shah strives to restore active lifestyles to those that have lost them and provide a comfortable environment where his patients and their families can have all of their questions answered. Dr. Shah lives in Tarzana with his wife and two children.
