Nicole S. Armitage, PAC

It felt like Nicole Armitage wasnt really hearing my concerns. She had her speech to give and most of that was about how little she could do for hand pain/arthritis (I wasnt asking her about that) and to come back when my carpal tunnel gets worse (and she thought it likely would) and then we'll talk about surgery.She also was convinced I would eventually get RA (because my mom did) and then talked about how awful those medicines were. She was really negative, a doom forecaster, but told me all of this like she was talking to me about something that nothing to do with me, like I was just someone she was chatting with about her field. But It also gave the Impression that she thought most of her patients were living in a fantasy world and needed a dose of reality to lower their expectations about what could be done for them and that she likely has had to field some complaints about care in the past because she was ready with a speech

Nicole Armitage was one of the best providers I've ever seen! She listened to my input, did not dismiss my concerns, displayed empathy and understood the urgency of my issue. All of this goes for the Dr as well. Extremely respectful, attentive, and went way above and beyond most providers I have seen through Providence. I have seen many providers working in the Providence Network, to include my primary. The conduct and behavior by these two individuals, in my experience with Providence, was an anomaly. By and large, providers that I have seen through Providence are not the way these two were. They both made me feel heard, made me feel like they understood my situation and empathized, as well as had a clear, direct, and compassionate plan to address my concerns. Like I said, this is not the norm, and I am including my primary, who is a provider with a Providence clinic. Every provider and employee should look to these two individuals as an example, because they rock!! I only wish they were my primary. Keep up the stellar work. These two are what doctors should look like!

Mrs. Armitage was great, she actually took the time to explain the injury to my hand and how it would heal. Mrs. Armitage was very personable, down to earth not full of herself, unlike most doctors and PA's. My wife liked her too and commented how nice Mrs. Armitage was to both of us as we were leaving. If there were more people like her, who treated people with respect and care, how nice that would be. It's to bad she doesn't do spinal work, maybe my neck wouldn't be the mess it is today. Mrs.Armitage is an example for others in the medical field to follow. No, we don't know her and she didn't bribe us to write this, she just seems to be an awesome person.

It was vary positive experience everyone I talk with was extremely nice and helpfull

In the questions that were about Nicole Armitage knowing everything about my history and medical records, I answered accurately but I want you to know that the fact she didn't have all my records wasn't her fault. It's been impossible getting my records from my prior PCP which is part of why Nicole had to order new tests. Nicole and her team were absolutely amazing. They were kind, understanding, and respectful and I look forward to seeing her again.
