About Harold Kim
With members of his family afflicted by problems of balance and hearing impairment, Dr. Harold Kim understands the difficulties that accompany these ailments. This has underlied his efforts in providing conscientious and empathetic care. Dr. Kim has been practicing in Portland since 2004, caring for individuals with chronic ear disease, hearing loss, dizziness, and skull base conditions such as acoustic neuroma and glomus tumors. He offers surgical as well as medical treatments to produce the most optimal results. Dr. Kim has been active in research in Meniere's disease, cochlear implantation, and the effects of surgery for acoustic neuroma, presenting at numerous national meetings and publishing numerous articles in peer reviewed journals for otolaryngology and otology/neurotology. He has contributed to numerous textbooks on surgery of the ear and management of balance disorders. Dr. Kim is also certified in gamma knife radiosurgery for acoustic neuroma and glomus jugulare tumors. In his spare time, Dr. Kim enjoys running, cycling, and spending time with his wife and three children.
