Joehassin Cordero, MD

Joehassin Cordero is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Cordero is a board certified head and neck surgeon, specializing in the treatment and surgical care of patients dealing with common ENT issues to more complex surgical problems, such as cancer of the head and neck, facial trauma and reconstruction, voice and airway disorders and many hearing and speech issues. A 1994 graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School, Dr. Cordero completed his otolaryngology residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa in 1999. He joined Texas Tech Physicians-Surgery department that same year as a faculty surgeon in the Division of Otolaryngology. Otolaryngology developed from a division of the Department of Surgery into a department in September 2015. The designation has allowed for the creation of an Otolaryngology Residency Program in 2017.
