About Hamsika Chandrasekar

Dr. Chandrasekar was born in New Zealand and raised in Houston. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Brain and Cognitive Sciences, as well as Computer Science and Molecular Biology at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). She went on to attend medical school at Stanford University School of Medicine before returning to Boston Children’s Hospital for her pediatric residency. Unable to resist the California sunshine, she came back to the west coast, spending two years as a pediatric cardiac intensive care hospitalist at Stanford, before completing her pediatric cardiology fellowship, also at Stanford. Dr. Chandrasekar’s clinical interests include fetal echocardiography, echocardiography, and general cardiology. Outside of work, she enjoys reading historical fiction, hiking, biking, and spending time with her husband and two young daughters. She speaks English, Spanish and Tamil and sees patients in our Encino, Thousand Oaks, Santa Clarita and Palmdale locations.
