About Elizabeth R. De Oliveira

Dr. De Oliveira was born in Brazil and graduated from the Medical School of Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. She completed residency in Pediatrics at The Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at The New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical College in 1989. Prior to moving to Los Angeles in 1998, Dr. De Oliveira did research in cholesterol metabolism at The Rockefeller University and also completed a Senior Research Fellowship in Pediatric Echocardiography at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. She started practicing pediatric cardiology in East Los Angeles and joined Pacific Pediatric Cardiology Medical Group in 2000. Her interests include non-invasive imaging and clinical pediatric cardiology as well as diagnosis and management of lipid disorders in children and adolescents. She loves classical music, ballroom dancing and traveling around the world with her family.
