Dr. Kashiama spent a solid amount of time reviewing my son health, new treatments, and discussing the treatment plan. With his aggressive approach to tackling my son's new T1D diagnosis, my son's health has drastically improved in a short period of time. I am very grateful for Dr. Kashiyama's care and experience. My only draw back is the heavy handed pressure to attend the optional groups. I think I was finally able to convey what an incredible travel and time burden that was to our family, especially since telehealth allows us to receive quality care without a 5 hour round trip drive and loss of a school day, and he was willing to be accommodating.

I don't feel like Dr.'s Very collaborative or enjoys explaining things (I've felt this way about him since day one). I'm always worried about asking questions because it feels like he doesn't like answering them. And even though my sons T1D blood sugar numbers are within a good range and we're managing it well (per Dr.'s report), Dr.'s demeanor leaves me with unnecessary anxiety. My son was hooked up to a pump in December, and we've been working really hard on trying to navigate this new machine and get everything right for his health. We hadn't seen Dr. Since November, before the pump, yet I feel like he was expecting us to be experts with the pump. But I guess the good side to our apt. Is my sons numbers are doing even better since Dr. Tweaked them.
