About Erin M. Halman

Dr. Erin Halman is a physician in the Palliative Care Division. She is board certified in pediatrics and is board eligible in hospice and palliative medicine, who treats kids and teens in Orange County. Dr. Halman attended medical school at George Washington University in Washington, DC. She completed her pediatric residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where she received the honor of Intern of the Month and Senior Resident of the Year. She completed her Palliative and Hospice Medicine fellowship at Nemours Children’s hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. She is passionate about education and training the next generation of physicians in pain and symptom management as well as having difficult conversations. As a physician in the Palliative Care Department, she focuses on inpatient services with a physician-led interdisciplinary consult team that works to meet all the palliative care needs of patients and families. Additionally, she is focusing on training Residents and Fellows in Palliative Care skills and techniques. Dr. Halman’s research interests include medical education, pain and symptom management at end-of-life, and emotional debriefing.
