About Ava T. Casados

Ava Casados, Ph.D (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist. She completed her doctorate at Yale University, followed by pre-doctoral internship at the University of New Mexico and New Mexico VA, and post-doctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Dr. Casados’ clinical work at CHOC has focused on early intervention, treatment of co-occurring medical and mental health conditions, and eating disorders. She now supervises the Mental Health Education Program (CHOC MHEP), spreading mental health awareness and educational resources throughout our community. Dr. Casados is passionate about eradicating mental health stigma and equipping families with the knowledge and tools to thrive.
