Alexis M. Johnson, CCC-SLP

Alexis Johnson is a Speech-Language Pathologist at Providence Children's Development Clinic. An Oregon transplant from Georgia, Alexis provides speech/language treatment while also specializing in pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. After completing her clinical fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) hospital, she spent time abroad studying Spanish to accomplish her goal of being able to provide treatment to her Spanish-speaking patients in their native language. Alexis is passionate about building rapport with families and supporting her patients’ autonomy to increase participation and improve outcomes. If you pass by her treatment room, you can often hear laughter, expressive sound effects and singing as she and her patients engage in exciting joint activities. In her free time, Alexis enjoys traveling, exploring the Portland food scene and trying new outdoor activities as she embraces becoming an Oregonian.
