Amy C. Cox, MD

Amy Canos Cox, M.D., FAAP, is a Board-certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has been practicing in Southern California since 2001. Dr. Cox graduated magna cum laude and as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society from Kenyon College with a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Physiological Psychology. She received her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency training at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where she published research on the topic of post-operative critical care management of children undergoing congenital heart surgery. Dr. Cox has taken on an active role in the Ladera Ranch community, having volunteered with local sports and educational programs. She has lived in Ladera since 2004, where she loves spending time with her husband, their 2 children, and their dog Scooby. When she’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Cox enjoys listening to podcasts, particularly any and all things related to true crime. Dr. Cox has special interests in pediatric preventative care, early child development, congenital heart disease and neonatology.
