Farzana Molvi, MD

“It’s a joy and a privilege to care for children and to watch them grow,” says Dr. Molvi. A board-certified pediatrician, she has special interest in caring for newborns and premature babies, neurodiverse children, and children with chronic health conditions. “These children are close to my heart,” she says, “and I value working with families to better understand their challenges and to support them.”

Dr. Molvi’s interest in health care began at an early age, when she lost her mother to chronic kidney disease. “Watching her dedicated doctors and nurses, I developed a deep interest in medicine and a desire to care for others with the same dedication,” she says. In her work with families, she emphasizes preventive care to improve children’s overall well-being, and health education to help families make informed decisions. “My most important role,” she says, “is to listen, collaborate and be an advocate for patients and families to ensure that children thrive.”

Dr. Molvi earned her medical degree at Jinnah Sindh Medical University in Pakistan and completed her internship and residency at the University Hospital of Brooklyn at Long Island College Hospital. She has specialized training in neonatal and perinatal medicine from North Shore University in Manhasset, NY.

Outside of her work, her many interests include art and calligraphy, gardening, cooking and trying new recipes from different cuisines, running, hiking, and spending time with her two children. “I also really enjoy volunteering,” she says, “as I love connecting with and giving back to the community.”
