About Jared Onley
I was born and raised in Newport, WA, and attended Whitworth University for my undergraduate training. I earned my medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed my pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga in 2018. After residency, I served four years as an active-duty pediatrician with the United States Air Force stationed at Travis Air Force Base, caring for military families. After completing my time with the USAF, I worked for three years with Sutter Medical Group in Northern California, before ultimately moving back to Spokane and returning to my roots. I love pediatric medicine. Children are a joy to work with, and I like involving children in their own healthcare and reassuring and educating parents as their child grows to adulthood. I believe great pediatric care starts with listening. I work in partnership with parents and children, using shared decision making and evidence-based best practice, to guide children into healthy adulthood. Outside of work, I am still a child at heart. I enjoy spending time with my wife and three boys, reading, playing piano, building Legos, and playing board games. As both a physician and a parent, I understand the joys and challenges of raising kids—and I’m honored to walk alongside families as they grow.
