About Allison C. Nauta
Dr. Allison C. Nauta is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with specific interest in breast and body aesthetics. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia with a double major in politics and biology. Born in Boston and raised in Washington, D.C., Dr. Nauta received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. Midway through her residency training, Dr. Nauta spent three years as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University in Dr. Michael Longaker’s lab where she published several manuscripts on the role of adult tissue-derived stromal cells in wound healing. She then completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University, followed by a one-year microsurgical fellowship at KU Medical Center in Kansas City. Microsurgical fellowship provided Dr. Nauta with the opportunity to perform complex autologous reconstruction of the breast, head and neck, lower extremity, and hand.
With extensive exposure to aesthetics, the biology of wound healing, and reconstructive plastic surgery, Dr. Nauta takes pride in providing the entire spectrum of breast reconstructive surgery—including autologous approaches—as well as aesthetic surgery of the breast and body.

This was our first time meeting with Dr. Nauta & she made us feel welcome, heard & understood. She educated us on the options available & we felt very at ease with her & confident that we made the right decision for our surgeon.

Dr. Nauta was very pleasant, listened well and helped me understand my options for treatment. She was excellent with explaining the process and made me feel very comfortable with talking about the sensitive subject matter to great detail.

Dr. Nauta is wonderful so is the rest of her team. I plant to see her if I should need future surgery.
Providence Patient
Dr Nauta went above and beyond to meet all of my needs, especially when I contracted a superbug infection on two separate occasions when my expanders leaked and I had to have them surgically removed. The first one a month after and the second three months after. She called regularly and personally visited me in the hospital. She made sure that I was happy with my reconstruction, as it was different from what was originally planned. She has offered to make adjustments in the future if I would like them done. She is very thorough and has answered all of my questions and been there for support as well through the whole process.
