About John J. Shun
Dr. John Shun was born and raised in San Jose, California. He attended the University of California: San Diego and obtained his BS in Bioengineering in 2008. Dr. Shun went on to receive his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Samuel Merritt University in Oakland in 2013.
Dr. Shun subsequently completed a 3 year podiatric medical and surgical residency at SSM DePaul Health Center in Saint Louis, Missouri in 2016. He is extensively trained in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, trauma, sports medicine, and diabetic foot care. Dr. Shun also received advanced training in a month long fellowship rotation on foot and ankle surgical techniques in Germany.
In his spare time, Dr. Shun enjoys biking, playing piano, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
