About Joyce L. Yan
Dr. Yan treats a multitude of foot and ankle pathologies including foot and ankle reconstruction, trauma, sports medicine, diabetic foot care, wound care, biomechanics, orthotic management and pediatric foot pathologies. Dr. Yan’s treatment philosophy is to start conservatively and implement surgery only when necessary.
She believes that education is important and spends time explaining pathology and treatment options to her patients. Dr. Yan believes in working as a team with her patients to alleviate their pain and to promote foot and ankle heath. She understands that patients have circumstances that can impede healing and works with her patients to devise individualized treatment plans. Being a female and avid lover of shoes, Dr. Yan has knowledge of shoe designs and has shoe recommendations for specific foot types and foot conditions.
In her spare time, Dr. Yan enjoys yoga, weightlifting, baking, traveling, trying local restaurants and spending quality time with her family.

Provider did not communicate well, did not explain my condition options. She was not able to advice on types of orthotics that would be good for me. Her body language was very questionable. She said she can "blister my sole", and when I asked for more information she shrugged her shoulders and laughed. I feel as I didn't learn anything new from this provider. The only good thing I got a phone number for custom orthotics, although could not understand why she wrote a prescription to other orthotics company, and then tear it in half. Weird visit. I hope I won't have to visit her again.
