About Virginia C. Parret
Dr. Parret is a licensed clinical psychologist who has served as a Behavioral Health Faculty member at the Alaska Family Medicine Residency in Anchorage since July 2011. As part of her professional role, she serves as a clinical supervisor for doctoral interns and practicum students for Providence Family Medicine Center, a primary care clinic which offers integrated behavioral health services. Dr. Parret enjoys teaching and working with residents as well as serves as faculty for the Alaska Psychology Internship Consortium (AK-PIC). Dr. Parret earned her PhD from the University of Alaska (UAA-site) in Clinical-Community Psychology with an Emphasis in Indigenous and Rural Areas. Her professional interests include health psychology, integrated behavioral health in primary care, reproductive health, refugee health and working with diverse and underserved patient populations. She earned her Certification in Perinatal Mental Health in 2020 and has a particular interest in working with individuals (and families) during the prenatal and postpartum period.
