Meghan R. McCarthy, PsyD

Dr. Meghan McCarthy, PsyD, is a psychologist at Scholls Pediatrics, focusing on child and adolescent psychology and integrated behavioral health. Following her graduate studies at Pacific University's School of Professional Psychology, Dr. McCarthy completed her internship training at Thriving Minds Behavioral Health Center, where she received training in treating Selective Mutism, a nuanced and sometimes challenging anxiety-based disorder to treat. Here, she learned effective and evidence-based strategies to work with even the most reluctant or shy children. She completed her residency training at Providence Medical Group, where she gained experience working as part of a wider medical team, both within primary care as well as specialty care centers. She enjoyed working with her patients at Providence so much, she decided to stay and continues to work at Scholls Pediatrics. Dr. McCarthy loves to see her patients' faces brighten when they learn new strategies and old problems no longer seem as challenging.
