Fady A. Youssef, MD

Dr. Youssef is a fellowship-trained, board-certified pulmonologist, internist, and critical care specialist with expertise in the management of pulmonary diseases and critical illness. He serves as an Associate Program Director for the UC Irvine Internal Medicine Residency Program and as the Residency Site Director at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. In these roles, he is actively involved in the education and training of internal medicine residents as well as pulmonary and critical care fellows from UC Irvine. His clinical interests include obstructive lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, thoracic oncology, sleep medicine, and interstitial lung disease. Dr. Youssef earned his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) School of Medicine, followed by residency training in internal medicine at UCI Medical Center. He subsequently completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at UCI Medical Center. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care medicine. Dr. Youssef is a recipient of the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) Early Career Professional Development Award, recognizing pulmonologists who demonstrate significant potential early in their careers. He was also selected as a 2026 Southern California Rising Star. He is an active member of the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), the American College of Physicians (ACP), the American Thoracic Society (ATS), and the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM).
