I found Dr Kabbach reluctance to allow me to record (using iphone) the discussion of the results for my breathing test, to be a detriment to patient relations. Allowing a patient to record the information, they can review the information in it's entirety (not just the notes she ALLOWS a patient to see.) I am still unclear why I was prescribed a rescue Inhaler??? I do not wheeze (which Is what the directions Indicate for use,) nor have I ever had asthma in the past. A definitive diagnosis was not given... It was left as FOUR possible causes? Follow up with PCP and GI was recommended. She suggested 1 year follow up, I do not think this was appropriate since a diagnosis was not made. I asked for a 6mo follow up which she agreed to. Dr Kabbach should reconsider allowing patients to record information, I have never been refused by any Dr in the past, not UCLA, UCI, Oncologist, Orthopedics, etc. It allows a patient to review, comprehend, research a condition, medication or protocol and possibly ask additional questions or correct any misinformation. Medical information is often difficult to understand for a lay person.
