He was very clear about many things that I needed to do. Although when I got home, I start trying to remember everything. He said it would be nice to have a printed copy of directions so I can better remember to fulfill them at home.

I feel lucky to have been referred to the best Pulmonary doctor in Sonoma County! Dr. Patel explains things in a way that's understandable. He encourages questions which makes me feel like I'm an involved participant in my pulmonary care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Patel for several years, I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Patel. He is one of the very best and highly professional doctors I have ever had. He takes whatever time is needed to listen to his patients, and shows genuine concern for their health and well being.

Dr. Patel was excellent and was able to offer a comprehensive treatment program. He probably going to add a year to my life. I now understand what is killing me and what I can do about it. God wasn't able to do that!

Did not feel like getting a lecture about my body size and weight felt put down and depressed enough that I almost just go up to leave during the first visit with this doctor I was very sad the rest of the week and I don't like that feeling so not sure I will come back

Dr Praful Patel is the most outstanding pulmonologist I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Having seen many pulmonologists throughout the years, Inclu at UCSF, Dr Patel, besides being kind, is brilliant!! He went the extra mile, was skeptical about my asthma diagnosis and sent me for several tests and to a cardiologist and determined that I do NOT have asthma, having been treated for asthma for many years with numerous strong and powerful and unnecessary asthma meds. His efforts in determining that I don't have asthma but that tI do have chronic coughing have given me a new lease in life for which I am totally grateful. I now can be around asthma triggers without the constant worry and anxiety of having an asthma attack that could be a life threatening event. I am much more at ease in my interactions with others and with new environments. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr Patel!!!!

Don't have much to say except the overall experience was great. Yes I would have like to spend extra time answering all my stupid questions about my overall health but he is a specialist and it would be a waste of time.

Dr. Patel is thorough and thoughtful. He was well acquainted with my medical history and was interested in my general health, as well as focused on my pulmonary and sleep medicine concerns. He listens and communicates well, making good recommendations. He is positive and encouraging. I would gladly recommend him to friends and family; in fact I have recommended him to a friend who has severe asthma. His office, sleep lab and support staff are also excellent.

I had feedback that I messaged to this practice about communication difficulties regarding someone who worked here and my hearing loss. I am hearing impaired and I need to be able to read lips to understand what is going on and the masks interfere with my being able to read lips. They listened to me regarding this. I need to be able to see in order to hear The manager spoke to me about it and wanted to know how to improve that. I was very impressed that I was listened to and that it seemed to be important to this practice. It is important to respect what best works for the patient's Communication needs so that the patient can understand clearly what is going on regarding the medical issue with testing, treatment, and interventions. This practice clearly sought to do what was most effective for me. I am impressed and grateful.

Over the decades that I have had care from Providence Drs, I have been very disappointed overall but Dr Patel is a wonderful physician. He is not only obviously very intelligent with such command of his field, but has the heart of a teacher and was wonderful in answering all my questions about how things worked and understanding why I was having the difficulties I was having. He took time and explained things in a clear and understandable way. That is priceless. He is the best Doctor I have worked with at Providence since Dr DeVore was in practice. Dr Patel's office staff were excellent. The MA went above & beyond in helping with an issue about a travel CPAP and orders. Dr. Patel gave me time to ask questions and followed up on a tertiary referral that did not happen as planned & quickly resolved the issue.

Dr. Patel was very respectful and easy to talk to and ask questions of. His staff were very accommodating to me as I had expressed that it's hard for me to get in to appointments. The female staff person that I talk to immediately Suggested that I zoom which was a perfect Suggestion. Also, after the appointment one of the staff called me and made appointments for a follow up after a sleep study that I am undergoing with these professionals. This practice is really hard to get an appointment with so I greatly appreciate the anticipating and planning ahead.
