About Stephanie M. Biggs
Stephanie Biggs is a family certified nurse practitioner with over a year of experience in both the acute and outpatient settings of adult and pediatric care. After completing her undergraduate nursing degree at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, she worked as a medical-surgical nurse for two years and later became a perioperative and circulating nurse at a level one trauma center for six years prior to transitioning to her role as a nurse practitioner. She completed her graduate nurse practitioner degree at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and was transitioned into both the inpatient and outpatient subspecialties of Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine in September of 2020 due to the increased demand and pressure of COVID-19 at the height of the pandemic, and has been a part of Providence since September 2021. Of her care style, Stephanie says "I treat every patient as though they they were my own family member and will always do everything in my power to help my patient's obtain the best care possible." When she isn't caring for patients, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, playing competitive video games on her computer, traveling to 4-day music festivals, camping with her family, and taking walks with her dogs.

The provider spent a long time with me, discussing a rare and fairly complicated medical issue. She thoroughly answered all of my questions, eased my concerns about my condition, provided some excellent low-intervention recommendations (which have been very helpful), and gave me a prescription and a back-up plan to follow if the initial interventions were not effective (which, so far, I have not needed). She also spoke to me like I was an intelligent adult - which I really appreciated. I was initially concerned that she was not an MD, but I believe I got excellent care. I would choose to see her again.

Stephanie was excellent. The entire process of sorting the possibility of having Sleep Apnea is a bit confusing at best. Understanding how the system works and how best to manage yourself and get to appropriate therapy was a substantial challenge even for a former provider and health care "frequent flyer". Stephanie was by far the most informative and helpful provider I accessed during the five months required to define this problem and obtain a functional/useful grasp of management and future care plan. I am very grateful for the time and attention she delivered.

Stephanie is the best! Not only was she on top of all my medical records she had been monitoring my CPap machine. In on visit she came up with a solution that has provided me with much benefit. She was able to adjust my CPap machine from her computer while we were in her office. I have had the best night's sleep I've had in years. My apnea events dropped from an average of 29 per hour to 10 per hour.

Stephanie is VERY thorough and does an extra good job of explaining. We moved since my last visit and she did a great job of getting my supply place changed from Moses Lake to Pullman. That was so appreciated by an 84 year old that is not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to computers. She got it down so fast. Another option she said that was available to me and much appreciated was the offer of virtual visits. Since I live in Colfax it saves my daughter from having to bring me to Spokane. That is really appreciated.
