Douglas A. Kelly, MD

Dr. Kelly grew up in a small town outside of Montreal Quebec, where he spent a lot of time doing outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, and camping. He has been gradually migrating westward his entire life, to Ottawa, Tulsa, Durango, and Phoenix, but now that he has reached the beautiful western edge of California, we believe he has finally found his forever home. In Eureka he has enjoyed getting to explore all the beaches in the region and his pastimes include bicycling, hiking, and photographing the area. Radiation oncology is a technical specialty and one of his reasons for going into that field was his interest in math and computers, and an additional hobby of his is computer coding. Being part of a team and serving the community has always been an important driver for Dr. Kelly. He is proud to be part of such a well-run state-of-the-art department with very collegial colleagues, serving Humboldt County. Finally, he regards himself as someone who collaborates with patients, respecting their individuality and autonomy, and working with them to find the best option that suits their needs.
