About Sandra M. B. Boodman

Sandra Boodman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience helping clients work through and heal from with a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, PTSD, chronic illness, substance use, harm reduction, women’s health, sexual & reproductive health, the LGBTQIA+ community and gender-affirming care. During her many years in community mental health and medical settings, Sandra gained specific expertise in trauma work, sexual and gender identity, and the use of a social justice framework. She works closely with clients to create a collaborative, patient-lead treatment plan. Sandra believes that cultivating a positive relationship is central to providing good clinical care. She draws strongly from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and uses a strengths-based approach of acceptance and empathy as she works together with her clients to understand how influences such as life stage, level of social support, and physical health impact overall wellbeing.
