About Kallie Kurtz
Kallie Kurtz, LCSW, discovered her passion at the intersection of behavioral health, understanding trauma, policy and the outdoors. A lifelong adventurer—whitewater kayaking, skiing backcountry slopes and living in Panama, Cuba, and Tanzania—Kallie brings that same spirit of exploration to her clinical work. In her practice, she specializes in trauma, PTSD, depression, and anxiety, drawing on experience in high schools, emergency departments, the VA, rural substance-use programs and backcountry settings. Kallie partners with clients from varied backgrounds, including different cultures, first responders, veterans, LGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse individuals, adolescents, medical and behavioral health providers, and rural communities, to trace how personal history, cultural context and current environment shape well-being. Through neuroscience-informed psychoeducation and evidence-based therapies (CPT, CBT, DBT, ACT, Attachment Theory and Solution-Focused Therapy), she co-creates personalized, holistic treatment plans, supporting clients with both compassion and accountability. Kallie holds her Master of Social Work and is licensed as a clinical behavioral-health provider in Washington and Oregon. When she’s not in session, you’ll find her camping beneath star-filled skies or sharing insights with fellow clinicians in trauma, advocacy, and wilderness behavioral-health practice—always committed to collaborating with others to build resilience, on the trail and in life.
