Laura A. S. Denman, MD

Dr. Denman is a fellowship-trained Urogynecologist specializing in female pelvic floor disorders. She began her health care journey at University of Washington, where she earned a degree in Public Health. She went on to receive her Medical Degree from the University of Washington, where she spent her first two years of medical school in Spokane. It was in Spokane that she first was exposed to gynecologic surgery and the positive impact it can have on patients’ lives. She then completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Maine Medical Center. During her time in residency she was awarded the Junior Fellow Rising Star in Advocacy Award for her advocacy work in ensuring access to specialty care. She completed her fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. During fellowship she continued her work on expanding care access, with a specific focus on facilitating access to urogynecological care for patients in rural areas, which was the foundation of her research. Her practice emphasizes a collaborative model, and she believes that patients should feel empowered to not only understand their condition, but also treatment options available to them. In addition to clinical care, Dr. Denman contributes to teaching the next generation of physicians with the University of Washington School of Medicine in Spokane. Outside of work, Dr. Denman enjoys spending time with her family, preferably outside.
