Avinash Chenam, MD

Dr. Chenam is a fellowship-trained specialist with expertise in the field of Urologic Oncology and Robotic Surgery. He is passionate about robotic surgery for complex cancers involving the prostate, kidney, and bladder. He is also interested in providing innovative and minimally invasive treatment options for kidney stone disease, benign prostatic hypertrophy, and ureteral stricture disease. Dr. Chenam has published numerous book chapters and peer reviewed journal articles related to his expertise and presented his work at many national and international scientific meetings. Dr. Chenam received his Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine from Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, MO. He completed his General Surgery and Urology Residency at Beaumont Health Systems in Royal Oak, MI. He then completed a two-year fellowship training in Urologic Oncology and Robotic Surgery at the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, CA. Dr. Chenam joined San Bernardino Urology Associates in 2018.
