Melody G. Opene, NP

After an ultrasound, Melody determined that I needed a biopsy. Melody demonstrated such empathy when she communicated with me through the entire process (i.e., ultrasound results, what to expect during the biopsy before scheduling the procedure and the day of before performing the procedure, and biopsy results and next steps). I felt completely at ease throughout the entire process.

Provider stated that my concerns regarding symptoms that I am having could not be discussed at this visit, and I would need to schedule an entirely new visit to do so. I scheduled a well-women exam, expecting to voice my concerns regarding symptoms that I am having each month, yet refrained from voicing all of my concerns since the provider told me I could either get a pap exam or discuss my concerns. Both options were not welcomed even though it was an overall well-women exam. However, the provider was very friendly and made me feel comfortable during the pap exam, explaining each step.

She was phenomenal. She listened didn't make me feel rushed, answered all my questions and did not make me feel embarrassed and came up with a plan. Very pleasant and nice!

Melody was really nice and sweet. She listened to my concerns really well and even ordered delayed lab test that was supposed to be done before. Overall she's one of the best provider I've ever seen.

I liked the provider and I feel she respected me and listened to me but at the end I wasn't sure if everything was ok. I had to look for her to ask. I also thought the exam was very fast. I'm new to this state and your health care and back home the doctors do things differently. So it was confusing to me.

First impressions are everything, Dr. Opene gave me hope for a better experience for this pregnancy then my previous experience with Providence. I'm glad she is my NP moving forward.

Melody Opene NP was a joy to meet with! She answered all my questions in depth and allowed me to understand exactly what I would expect for my next visit. She brought a lively energy to an otherwise routine visit. She was a pleasure to engage with and I would love to see her again should I have to book with anyone other than my assigned OP.

I had labs done that day and every time I go get labs the 2 ladies that are there for lab and ultrasound are just rude! Unfortunate they work with alot of pregnant women

This was my second visit with Nurse Opene. We talked about her experience in women's health. Since I am a senior and my care is largely routine I felt more comfortable with her as a member of my caregiver team. I feel it's important to have a caregiver who listens, combined with skills in their profession.
