Exceptional Bone & Joint Care

Our dedicated physicians deliver comprehensive orthopedic care to the community. We offer medical evaluations, personalized treatment plans and expert care throughout every stage – from initial diagnosis to ongoing treatment.

Our team prioritizes minimally invasive, conservative therapies whenever possible, but is fully equipped to perform surgery when needed for advanced or severe conditions.

We offer joint replacement surgery for elbow, foot and ankle, hand, knee, shoulder, spine and wrist, including joint revision surgery, partial joint replacement and total joint replacement.

  • Ankle replacement: Total ankle arthroplasty is preferred over fusion for preserving motion in patients with severe ankle arthritis. It replaces the talocrural joint (fibula, tibia, talus) with metal and polyethylene components, maintaining dorsiflexion and plantarflexion.
  • Full and partial knee replacement: The most common joint replacement, total knee replacement also known as arthroplasty, involves replacing damaged surfaces of the femur and tibia, and sometimes the patella, to relieve pain and restore mobility. Partial knee replacement is an option if only one part of the knee is affected.
  • Hip replacement: Total hip arthroplasty replaces both the ball and socket of the hip joint, restoring movement and reducing pain. Implants may be fixed with cement or designed for bone ingrowth, with cement fixation preferred for older patients with weaker bones. We are experts in both posterior and anterior approach for hip replacement.
  • Revision joint replacement: Performed when a previous implant becomes loose or wears out, revision surgery is more complex due to fragile bone and tissue, requiring a surgeon with specialized training.
  • Shoulder replacement: The shoulder’s mobility makes it prone to instability. Total shoulder arthroplasty replaces the “ball and socket” with artificial components for smoother, less painful motion. Reverse shoulder replacement (rTSA) may be recommended for those with rotator cuff damage.

Our doctors specialize in advanced hand and wrist care, performing thousands of procedures with a focus on minimally invasive, patient-centered treatment.

  • Carpal tunnel surgery: Efficient procedure to relieve nerve pressure that takes less than 30 minutes; recovery averages 3 months and can be performed in-office.
  • Cyst removal: Surgical excision as needed for large, symptomatic cysts when other treatments aren’t effective.
  • Fracture repair: Expertise in surgical alignment for complex hand and wrist fractures, building on years of emergency hospital experience.
  • Joint replacement & reconstruction: Comprehensive arthritis management with prosthetic joint solutions for lasting pain relief and improved function.
  • Non-surgical care: Always starting with the most conservative, proven methods like hand therapy before progressing to advanced interventions.
  • Trigger finger surgery: Fast, office-based procedures using local anesthesia – no sedation required, minimal prep and you can drive yourself home.

Our fellowship-trained orthopedic specialists provide advanced, personalized elbow care. We prioritize conservative, non-surgical treatments – such as rest, ice/heat, medications, bracing, and targeted physical or hand therapy – before considering surgery.

When surgery is necessary, we offer:

  • Elbow replacement: For advanced arthritis or injury, our surgeons perform elbow joint replacement to restore movement and relieve pain.
  • Minimally invasive procedures: The Tenex procedure for chronic tendon pain, also known as tennis or golfer’s elbow, and elbow arthroscopy for precise, quick-recovery care.
  • Soft tissue & nerve relief: Cubital tunnel release for ulnar nerve compression, reducing pain and numbness – often as a same-day outpatient procedure.
  • Trauma & fracture repair: Experienced in complex fracture surgeries, especially for severe or emergency cases.

Our orthopedic foot and ankle surgeons excel at diagnosing and treating complex foot and ankle issues, even when symptoms are traced to the knee, hip, or lower back. Our team prioritizes non-surgical methods such as rest, ice or heat therapy, medication, bracing, injections and physical therapy to relieve pain and improve movement.

Specialized foot and ankle solutions
  • Ankle replacement: Surgical options for advanced arthritis to restore ankle function.
  • Bunion surgery: Tailored procedures to realign the big toe joint, relieve pain and restore function.
  • Cyst or mass removal: Excision of ganglions or Morton’s neuromas, addressing soft tissue growths due to wear, tear or arthritis.
  • Deformity correction: Treatment of bunions, claw toe, hammer toe and foot drop using procedures like scarf, Akin, Lapidus and Weil osteotomies, plus fusion surgeries.
  • Flatfoot reconstruction: Comprehensive procedures to support the foot’s arch and decrease pain, such as calcaneal osteotomy and triple arthrodesis.
  • Fracture repair: Advanced surgical realignment and fixation for foot and ankle fractures, especially complex trauma cases.
  • Fusion (arthrodesis): Fusion of joints to eliminate pain from arthritis by removing damaged cartilage and stabilizing the bones.
  • Tendon & ligament repair: Restoration of injured tendons and ligaments, including Achilles tendon repair, peroneal tendon procedures and ankle ligament reconstruction.

Our orthopedic and pain management specialists use advanced diagnostics and treatments to address spine disorders and related conditions.

Specialized spinal procedures
  • Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion: Minimally invasive removal of herniated discs or bone spurs from the neck to relieve nerve pressure, followed by fusion of the vertebrae for stability.
  • Cervical disc replacement: Replacement of worn or degenerated neck discs with artificial discs made of metal or a metal-plastic combination to restore natural movement.
  • Cervical laminectomy/decompression: Relieves pressure on the spinal cord and nerves by removing the lamina and compressive tissues from the back of the neck.
  • Lumbar interbody fusion: Fusion of lower back vertebrae using various surgical approaches – such as posterior, anterior, or lateral – with bone grafts or cages to restore spinal stability.
  • Lumbar disc replacement: Replacement of damaged lumbar discs with artificial discs to maintain normal spinal motion.
  • Lumbar laminectomy/decompression: Enlargement of the spinal canal by removing the lamina to alleviate nerve or spinal cord compression, often due to arthritis.
  • Lumbar microdiscectomy: Removal of herniated disc material in the lower back through a small incision to relieve spinal nerve pressure.
  • Percutaneous vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty: Minimally invasive stabilization of vertebral compression fractures using bone cement, ideal for osteoporosis-related injuries.

Management for Pain and Inflammation

We provide a range of minimally invasive pain management procedures to help reduce pressure and inflammation – and offer you relief.

Botox injection for migraine - When over-the-counter medications are ineffective and the headaches are severe, you may be a candidate for Botox injections to block the nerves contributing to your pain. These injections are completed during an office visit and may be helpful in controlling the frequency and intensity of migraines.

Bursa injection - When bursas, small fluid filled sacs that cushion bones and tendons, become irritated and inflamed, they can cause pain. Placing medication directly into the bursa can help treat your pain, depending on where your pain is located.

Epidural steroid injection - An epidural steroid injection delivers an anti-inflammatory medication, like cortisone, into the epidural space, the area of the spine next to the nerves and discs, to treat pain related to bulging or herniated discs.

Joint injection - Over time, the joint can develop arthritis and cause pain. Placing medication directly into the joint can help treat your pain, depending on where your pain is located.

Piriformis muscle injection - Irritation of the piriformis muscle can cause irritation of the sciatic nerve, leading to pain in the buttock and leg. A piriformis muscle injection delivers a combination of anesthetic and steroids to that area to help relieve your pain.

Trigger point injections - A trigger point injection is a small amount of medication, like a local anesthetic or corticosteroid, delivered directly to the sensitive area. Our pain management specialist can advise if it might help alleviate your pain.

The facet space is an area that connects two vertebrae in your spine where you may have developed arthritis. Each of these spaces has its own nerve called a medial branch.

A medial branch block is an injection that serves as a temporary diagnostic test and identifies if these nerves are contributing to your pain. If it takes your pain away, it could be followed by a longer-lasting therapy like radiofrequency ablation.

Peripheral nerves are located throughout the body. They connect the central nervous system – your brain and spinal cord – to the rest of the body. Peripheral nerves can become irritated or inflamed and cause pain.

A peripheral nerve block is an injection of regional anesthetic that could temporarily relieve your pain. Our pain management specialist will advise if it’s the right treatment for you.

Peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) is a method of neuromodulation; it changes the way that your body experiences pain by stimulating specific nerves.

This therapy is typically used to provide short-term relief for either chronic or sudden pain. A pacemaker-like device is implanted to deliver electrical impulses to specific nerves, eliminating your pain or replacing it with a warm, tingling sensation.

Radiofrequency ablation is a minimally invasive procedure; it uses radiofrequency waves to deliver heat that ablates or kills the nerves contributing to your pain. The nerves eventually grow back, and your pain may return, but this occurs very slowly.

Rhizotomy is a procedure that uses either radiofrequency ablation, chemical ablation or surgical cutting to kill the nerves.

If you’ve achieved significant, temporary relief from a medial branch block, then our pain management specialist can advise if you’d experience longer-lasting relief from these procedures.

You should speak with an orthopaedic provider if you:

  • Are unable to put weight on your joint
  • Have decreased mobility
  • Have difficulty sitting down, standing up or going up stairs
  • Have osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis
  • Feel joint pain during certain types of weather
  • Feel stiff after sleeping or sitting
