Our dedication to quality at Providence is reflected in our quality control, quality assurance and continuous quality improvement programs. All aspects of testing, from receipt of specimens to delivery of reports, undergo careful and specific inspection for precision, accuracy and timeliness.
Providence Laboratory Services participates in approved, external proficiency testing programs as part of the overall quality assurance program and as a means to satisfy regulatory and accrediting agency requirements. Proficiency Testing serves as an external validation of the quality of the laboratory's results and as a valuable self-monitoring tool. Each laboratory is enrolled in proficiency testing appropriate for the extent and complexity of patient testing performed.
