Shared Governance is a collaborative, supportive and empowering model that brings together nursing staff to focus on issues that affect their work.

Our nurses lead and participate on shared governance councils that report to the Coordinating Council. These councils include:

  • Quality Council
  • Leadership Council
  • Practice Council
  • Education Council
  • Research Council
  • Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Council
  • Clinical Informatics Council

Nursing Work Groups

Within each Nursing Council are Nursing Work Groups that address specific areas:

  • Falls
  • Pain and Palliative Care
  • Skin
  • Evidence-Based Practice (EBP)
  • Policy and Procedures
  • Informatics
  • Central Line Associated Blood Stream Infection (CLABSI)
  • Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infection (CAUTI)
