Established by the Dominican Sisters in 1985, Providence DominiCare is the only not-for-profit agency of its kind ministering to residents in Stevens, Pend Oreille and Ferry counties. Serving frail, impaired and elderly individuals who need non-clinical home services, such as personal care, household assistance and family respite, DominiCare helps people maintain their independence.
Providence DominiCare is here to serve your frail or elderly family member with high-quality in-home care. Whether your loved one needs assistance with housecleaning twice a month, or a daily visit to help with personal care needs, we have professional, courteous, compassionate caregivers available to provide assistance.
DominiCare offers the lowest rates for services in the region, and is proud to take part in the Providence Mission of caring for the poor and vulnerable. Services are provided on a sliding fee scale to serve those without the means to pay.
Services are provided seven days a week, from a minimum two-hour shift to 12 hours of coverage. Occasional overnight coverage is also offered. The personal care, household assistance and family respite services are provided on an hourly basis. Providence DominiCare is a Washington State licensed home care agency.
Contact us to request an appointment. Our client coordinators will meet you in your home to discuss our range of services offered and address any questions or concerns. We look forward to serving your needs.
Providence DominiCare charges for its services on a sliding fee scale. The fee is set at the enrollment home visit and you will be billed monthly for our services. If you have VA benefits or a Long Term Care insurance policy, or are eligible for Medicaid assistance, you may be eligible to receive our services at very little or no cost.
Providence DominiCare accepts credit card/debit card payments by telephone.
Most health care insurance plans do not cover our services. Medicare does not cover our services. Medicaid does cover our services. Long term care insurance policies sometimes do cover the services we provide. Please review your VA eligibility and benefits, Medicaid eligibility and long-term care insurance policies and coverage – these can greatly reduce the cost of our services.
- 1-hour show up fee: you will be billed for a 1 hour show up fee if a caregiver travels to your home to provide service and you are either: a) absent, or b) do not need a caregiver but did not call to cancel.
- 2-hour enrollment fee: this is a set-up fee for enrollment which includes the home visit and completion of all forms.
- Extensive scheduling fee: a one-time charge of $150 will be assessed for new clients with extensive coverage requests or regular clients with new extensive scheduling needs.
- Extensive coverage scheduling includes: 24/7 or overnight or full day coverage for multiple days.
Providence DominiCare provides in-home care services using a sliding fee schedule, so that all can receive service regardless of the individual’s ability to pay.
We are able to carry out our mission because of the generous support of individuals, businesses and charitable foundations.
