Are you taking a trip outside the United States? Whether you’re trekking up to Machu Picchu, going on safari, island hopping through the Pacific, attending the Hajj pilgrimage, or just visiting family/friends overseas, your Credena Health Travel Health-Certified Pharmacists are here to ensure you avoid health risks and take all the precautions needed for a safe trip! Based on your travel itinerary and personal health needs, we will help you determine the most appropriate vaccines, medications, and over-the-counter medicines, while providing travel recommendations tailored to your individual needs and your destination(s).

Why is it so important to do a travel consult prior to traveling abroad?

You don’t know what you don’t know! So, let one of our travel health pharmacist experts help you prepare for your journey. Per the CDC, “As many as 43%-79% of travelers to low and middle income countries become ill with travel-associated health problems.” Additionally, some countries require proof of specific vaccinations. So, preparation will ensure a smooth trip and may decrease your risk of having to visit health care facilities abroad, so you can focus on your trip. Travel consults and advice provided by our pharmacists are destination-specific and tailored to your health-related needs. Always try to allow as much time as possible before your trip, as some travel immunization series need to be started a few weeks or even months before travel.
