About Carol Tatch
Carol Tatch, CD - THW Prenatal, Postpartum, Labor and Delivery Doula (Full Circle Doula) Training: SMC Full-Circle Doulas, Portland, OR 2024, Spinning Babies🄫 Workshop attendee 2025 Independent and Contracted Services Provider My Training and Experience I am a graduate of SMC Full Circle Doula, recognized world-wide as a premier doula training program. This is an international program that engages across the spectrum of care with an emphasis on Traditional Healthcare Worker and Healer traditions to support women on their journeys of successful pregnancies and birth experiences. I have training in early childhood behavior and care, and my doula certification covers the spectrum of the birth cycle from prenatal care, labor and delivery support, and postpartum care. I am trained to engage with your birth team (doctors, midwives, spouse, and other supportive partners), to provide emotional, physical, and nutritional support (informed herbal support, cooking, nutrition, care). It will be my pleasure to also provide lactation support and counseling, childcare support, light house cleaning, spouse/partner care, massage and pregnancy alleviation support, and I can support clients at maternal medical visits. I am your partner throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. The fullness of my life has been centered around children and maternal care and learning about herbs and how they support a natural lifestyle. I have been a childcare provider, prenatal to youth (special needs included for years past 18 years of age), for over 30 years. My decision to become a doula, and eventually to become a midwife, has been in the works throughout my life. I have been influenced by other doulas and midwives from the East and West Coast, with a predominance of this influence happening when I was in North Carolina. My mission is to ensure that mothers, and mothers-to-be have the resources, knowledge, and care needed to ensure the healthy births of their children, as well as knowledge of how to care for their newborns and older children. I have experience as a nutritional specialist (chef), well-baby care, well-Mama care, and family care and pre-and post-birth dynamics.
