Jessica Ramirez

Jessica is a Chicana mother from Oxnard, CA who now resides in Beaverton, OR. Jessica is a trained community birth doula who is committed to providing culturally relevant and holistic approaches to the prenatal, postpartum and birth experience. She prioritizes listening to her clients and their family's needs in order to intentionally support them throughout the pregnancy journey. Jessica has a master's degree in public health and a doctoral degree in social work which has provided her various healthcare opportunities including volunteering on maternity floors, taking lactation education classes, and working as a medical scribe and dietician assistant. Jessica had the opportunity to experience having doulas and midwives with her two children, which she learned a lot from and holds close to her heart. In addition to being a doula, Jessica also teaches at Portland State University.
