LaTasha Long, Doula

I’m LaTasha Long—California-born, Portland-raised, a wife, sister, and lifelong nurturer. My care journey began at seven as the neighborhood babysitter, and over 20 years later, I’ve devoted my life to supporting babies, families, and community through early childhood education and now as a doula. I studied Early Childhood Education at Mount Hood Community College and am currently pursuing certification as a DONA Birth Doula and Traditional Health Worker (THW). Birth, to me, is sacred—a powerful rite of passage that connects body, mind, and spirit. My role is to hold space with compassion, trust, and authenticity so families feel safe, supported, and empowered to make informed choices. Through my P.I.E. philosophy—Physical, Informational, and Emotional support—I help families embrace birth as an act of creation, courage, and transformation. Guided by sacredness, authenticity, and trust, Bold Beginnings Doula Services honors each family’s unique story with love, intention, and reverence.
