Mary Iskander, Doula

Mary Iskander is a dedicated doula with a passion for supporting birthing people, making them feel safe, comfortable, and calm. With 8 years of experience working with kids as a teacher, 5 years in Head Start and 3 years in daycare. Mary has a deep understanding of childcare and development. Her interest in becoming a doula grew through her own childbirth experiences, parenting, and years of working with children, which fuels her dedication to helping others through their birthing journeys. Additionally, she has 2 years of experience as a food service professional at Legacy Hospital, where she prepared meals for patients and staff. Mary’s culinary skills include creating diverse dishes, understanding nutritional requirements, and maintaining high food safety standards. Mary was born in Egypt and speaks Arabic very well and Living in Portland for over 16 years, she has combined her passions for cooking, childcare, and supporting others, earning numerous compliments for her high-quality meals and compassionate care.
