Dr. Dao is an excellent PCP and very compassionate.

I always feel hesitant asking questions as it seem to be always shot down no matter what issues I bring up. This last issue really had me worried and I never felt so disappointed than ever. I was ready to walk out but really bit my tongue and just kept my mouth shut. I felt like he really didn't want to hear what I thought was happening, and only insisted on telling me that it was nothing, which I get. But really, I have all other things I would expect him to listen as he never asked me the chronology of events that lead up to this issue. And by the time he was trying to explain the results of my ultrasound I really didn't care to listen to anything he had to say. This has been an ongoing issue, as nice as he is, but I cannot stand when I am easily dismissed or anything I mention is quickly looked as nothing rather than really listen and try to explain things in detail.

Dr. Dao is always courteous and attentive to my needs; he is an excellent physician.

Dr. Dao tends to be robotic in his approach. He is good doctor and very thorough but lacks warmth and empathy and is too formal and not very conversational. When I ask for referrals, he pushes back and questions my need for them. He needs to remember that he works for the patients.
