While there is a wait sometimes to get into an appointment, it is well worth it. I work in Olympia, WA and come back to see Dr. Grothaus. He's simply an amazing human being who is knowledgeable, kind, and willing to listen. For a doctor, his bedside manners are what you'd expect from a nurse practitioner (honestly, ARNO's education focuses on patient care and wellbeing, while the doctors' education focuses more on results than on bedside manners. It's just a fact - EXCEPT for Dr. Grothaus. He's just simply great). I've recommended the good doctor and this clinic to ALL of my family members and friends. He is the first doctor that I've done that for, and I'm 45 years old. You cannot afford to lose him!

We have been out of the state serving a mission for our church. We got a call from the doctor's office at the end of the second year wondering if we still were wanting to stay with our PCP. We told them that we would see him when we got back. When we got back, they said we were considered a new patient so it took a long time together and appointments time. Other than that, everything has been good. We really like Dr. Grothaus. He's very good to listen to concerns and explains things very well. His staff is very good to us also. We are grateful for his service.

When other specialist have done test for my many back spinal issues he was well informed about the CT scans and MRIS. And followed up,which saved me from having of the loss of both my legs. Doctor Grothaus is easy to talk to so I am comfortable speaking to him about things that affect my health knowing he won't judge me. To me, trust is the most important aspect of a doctor patient relationship.

This was a last minute issue, they called me and was able to schedule an appt that day. The nurse that checked me into the room was very kind and knowledgeable she was very caring... The dr was awesome and always is kind and really cares. I have been going to this clinic for years now and this is the 2nd time in the past year I have been so impressed with everything. I have only had one visit with Dr. Grothaus, and it was an excellent experience. He is one of the most calm, pleasant, clear, engaging and understanding doctors I've been to. If I could emphasize one thing about him that I wish all doctors would possess is personal attention to the patient that does not feel routine (though of course it is). Some doctors come in and behave mechanically or even rushed but Dr. Grothaus feels like he could easily be your friend and pays attention! Thumbs up!

Doctor Grothaus always makes you feel like he has time to discuss why you are there and never feels like he is rushing on to the next patient. He is very personable and takes the time needed to discus your health and answer your questions.

Very thorough Dr. Who was able to find the cause of my issue quickly (UTI) and provide antibiotics. This Dr. Is also working with my Rheumatologist to follow up with some bloodwork anomalies with elevated Liver enzymes.

Reuben and his student took a lot of time to understand my concerns and questions and gave compelling answers.

Dr. Groethouse is the best provider in town. He is patient and spends time listening to the complaint, instead of just going through the motions. He takes his time to "hear" his patients as an active listener, instead of just formulating an answer in his head while I'm speaking. It's the first provider I ever had who listened with an understanding, was empathetic toward my issues, and was educated and experienced enough to provide an answer which made sense. I don't have many issues, and was the easiest patient in the past - but I've been around the Tri Cities with my father who had many health issues stemming from glioblastoma, and I must say - my doctor is the best. You can't lose him so do whatever to keep him happy because I'm there because of him!!
