About Christopher J. Darus
Dr. Christopher Darus joined Providence Cancer Institute in October 2020 as the medical director of the gynecologic cancer program. He sees patients in Portland, OR.
Dr. Darus graduated from Wright State University School of Medicine in 2000 and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2004. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Virginia in 2007. This rigorous training prepared Dr. Darus to offer advanced surgical and medical treatment techniques to his patients.
Dr. Darus has an acute understanding of the impact of a gynecologic cancer diagnosis and treatment on his patients and their families. He emphasizes the importance of treating the whole patient, and utilizing the skills and strengths of the multi-disciplinary team of providers in the Providence Gynecologic Oncology Program.

Dr. Darus is knowledgeable, but visits with him would be more comfortable if he asked for permission before touching patients and if he sat at eye level instead of standing above the patient while talking. He reaches out to touch me a lot without asking first and it makes me uncomfortable.
