My surgery went well. Follow up was excellent

Dr Forslund was my surgeon for my hip replacement and I was having a lot of pain from it! Dr Forslund got me back in right away to take X-rays and make sure I didn't have an infection! He assured me through this whole process! Surgery is more than physical pain! It's mental also! Sometimes to help you through the physical, you have to also address the mental part of it! Dr Forslund really helped my mental health and therefore it was easier for me to deal with the physical pain!

Dr.Forslund was an excellent doctor excellent bedside manner easy to talk to and enthusiastic about his job is the kind of doctor you would like to have for any of your illnesses or injuries. Why during a discussion even been over and tied my shoe which to me was very impressive. I give them my highest recommendations.

It is difficult to answer these questions objectively, this is not my provider, he is the surgeon that repaired my broken femur, I spoke to him briefly before and after the surgery, He did a good job and I saw him again a month later for a follow up appointment.

Pre op appointment today with this provider. Was exceptionally nice, attentive and encouraged any and all questions that I had. Staff very nice put you at ease. Would highly recommend office and MD.

Dr. Forslund is wonderful. He is kind, compassionate, and explains what I need explained. I did have an issue with support staff though. My pharmacy didn't have the pain medicine at the dose he ordered, so I called around (as per the pharmacist) to find a pharmacy that could get me the medication right away so I wouldn't run out. I found a pharmacy that carried It, and requested that the prescription was sent to the new pharmacy through MyChart, and the person ordered a different dose than what the doctor originally ordered and they didn't have the different dose. So I let them know through MyChart that the dose was different and I needed the original dose. Instead of fixing it, they sent a note telling me I would need to get in touch with my provider. I thought that I was contacting the provider. Fortunately, Dr. Forslund caught the mistake and fixed it, but that was a very scary 12 hours. I had knee surgery, which has been the most painful thing I've ever been through and I was super scared that I would have to be in horrible pain over the weekend. Dr. Forslund saved the day.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Forslund, his staff, or the hospital staff. Everyone I encountered was professional, helpful, respectful, and kind. My surgery went great and my recovery is going even better. The pre-op visits and bathing kit were extremely helpful. If I were to express one concern it would be this . . . I wish the pre-op information had gotten to me earlier so I wouldn't have felt to rushed/pressured to get it all done in the couple of weeks I was given. I was really concerned I might not be able to schedule the blood work in time for my pre-op appointment with the doctor's PA.

In all of my previous experience with the Providence group, I have been extremely pleased with the service and care I've received. So much so, I plan to change my general practitioner I've had for over 30 years. I'm also going to be moving over to a cardiologist within the Providence group. I brag about your group often.

Dr. Forslund is a very caring doctor. He is a good listener but most of all a great practitioner/surgeon. He has been a godsend regarding my hip replacement and also with my follow up care. I am still having some peripheral pain and he is working to fix that. I don't think my recovery would be as good with any other surgeon.
