Nurse comforting a patient

Being hospitalized can be a time of anxiety and distress for patients and their loved ones. Our chaplains are available to help you and your family with your spiritual needs. They will also let your pastor, priest, rabbi or spiritual advisor know about your hospital stay at your request.

Kadlec contracts with Tri-Cities Chaplaincy for chaplain services.

Chaplains are trained to listen with sensitivity to the stories of individuals and families. Through this process, they help bring clarity to your spiritual needs. This may be the need for hope and perseverance as you make your way through an extended period of rehabilitation. Others may need self-acceptance and forgiveness as they come to terms with their mortality.

Whatever you’re experiencing, our chaplains provide skilled and compassionate guidance and support.

Our chaplains are available to support or lead you in your spiritual journey during your time at Kadlec. We can help you:

  • Contact your faith community
  • Cope with grief and loss
  • Deepen your relationship with God
  • Explore beliefs and values
  • Learn about meditation and guided imagery
  • Discuss Scripture teachings

In addition to serving our patients and their loved ones with spiritual support, our chaplains are trained in helping you with the tough situations that sometimes accompany a hospital stay. We can gently guide you through some of the hardest aspects, including:

  • Finding meaning in suffering
  • Conducting an end-of-life vigil
  • Planning a memorial service
  • Reflecting on life
  • Identifying hope, resiliency and self-acceptance
