Dedicated to helping you enjoy life without the burden of joint or back pain, Providence St. Mary Medical Center orthopedic, sports medicine and spine specialists provide state-of-the-art care and treatment for orthopedic conditions. When joint replacement surgery or ortho-spine surgery is the right choice for you, we offer a preoperative class where you learn how to prepare for your surgery, learn what to expect when you arrive for your procedure, what to expect after your surgery and how to participate in a full recovery.

By combining medical expertise and advanced treatment technologies, our orthopedic and ortho-spine physicians help treat injuries that affect a patient’s quality of life. These types of conditions include:

  • Fractures
  • Carpal tunnel
  • Dislocations
  • Arthritis pain
  • Back pain
  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Scoliosis
  • Spinal stenosis
  • Joint pain
  • Pain from strains
  • Sprains
  • Sports injuries

Along with conservative medical strategies that include medication, exercise and physical therapy, our orthopedic and ortho-spine surgeons also perform advanced, minimally invasive surgeries for any injury to the bones, joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles.

New techniques are performed through a small incision, which means less pain and a shorter recovery. With these excellent outcomes, our patients typically are able to leave the hospital and start the rehabilitation process sooner, allowing them to recover quickly and get back to normal life activities.

Services provided include:

  • Total knee replacement
  • Total hip replacement
  • Hip fracture repair
  • Total shoulder replacement
  • Reverse shoulder replacement
  • Joint revision surgeries
  • Arthroscopic surgeries
  • Spinal decompression
  • Spinal fusions
  • Cervical total disc arthroplasty with MOBI-C device
  • Spinal kyphoplasty
  • Spinal injections

Our surgery department is broken down into six service teams:

  • Pre-admission Assessment Testing (PAT)
  • Ambulatory Surgery (Outpatient Surgery Pavilion)
  • Surgery
  • Other Ambulatory Surgery
  • Post Anesthesia Care Unit (Recovery)
  • Sterile Processing Department

These teams work together to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. In conjunction with these teams, our hospital has an Orthopedic Program Manager who assists by navigating the large joint replacement and Ortho-spine surgery patients through the process of surgery for best outcomes.
